Why Use The Word Cell?

Small Groups are referred to as Cell Groups. Cells are the basic unit of human life. Cell Group is an environment that focuses on establishing healthy relationships needed for sustained personal growth and effective leadership.

Cells & The Body - Did You Know?

  • The nervous system is the interacting network of cells that underlies all psychological activity.
  • It is this network of cells that is responsible for seeing to it that the brain gets the right messages
  • When nerves are damaged, i.e, spinal cord, signals get missed and the body does not function properly.
  • These nerve cells help coordinate all of the functions of the body.
  • When the nerve cells are able to communicate effectively the body functions exactly as it should.

Leaders are those with the heart for “going the distance” making them most susceptible to having their apparent strengths over-ride times of stress or fatigue. The shared goals and collective wisdom experienced in the Cell Group environment is a safeguard against leadership burnout.

Why Cell Group Is Important to Leadership?

  • Your ability to communicate effectively is crucial to the body.
  • You play a major role in coordinating the functions of the body.
  • You open the doors of negative psychological activity and bondage for healing to occur.
  • You do this by offering real relationships that are loving, forgiving and accepting.

What Can You Expect From Cell Group?

  • It is in cell group that you will begin to experience change.
  • It is in cell group that you will begin to experience growth.
  • It is in cell group that you will draw strength from each other adopting new perspectives during trials.
  • It is in cell group that you will be most prepared for leadership through the development and discovery of gifts and talents.

Scripture Reference

17 Moses’ father-in-law replied, “What you are doing is not good. 18 You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone. 19 Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him. 20 Teach them the decrees and laws, and show them the way to live and the duties they are to perform. 21 But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. 22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you. 23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied.” Ex 18:17-23

INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!

Why we watch movies at Mass Cell Meetings?  Because a movie is an animated book.  They both tell a story that can inspire you or cause you to reflect.

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. Eph. 3:10-12

But He said to me, "my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 Cor 12:9
